Bugatti vs Koenigsegg

Not even the Stig could handle the Koenigsegg due to not enough downdraft as seen here in the Top gear video.

When they modified the car with a rear spoiler, the car seemed to perform better, but the top speed was less.

Bugatti Veyron

Has 1001 horsepower and ten radiators, 200 hp more than the Koenigsegg and has better handling characteristics. It also goes to 407 kph. The tires at this speed will only last around 15 minutes, but that's ok, the fuel runs out in 12 minutes……………… and at 1.5 million us dollars per car, I won’t be getting one any time soon.

Those are both amazing cars, but I have to say that I would take one of these over the Bugatti or the Koenigsegg:

Twin Turbo Ford GT Built by Hefner's Performance

Heffner TT Ford GT.

Car & Driver says it is the fastest streetcar they have ever tested to 150mph. 1000HP, twin turbo and reliable.

Richpike, I agree with you 100% I’d much rather have the Mustang as well.

There’s a lot of bias in European mindsets of American engineering and performance cars, it’s quite obvious Most European countries only want to advertise and market they’re own products as faster and better handling, which is false if both American and European countries had to abide by the same E.P.A. and vehicle codes and laws. It’s not that American cars are so inferior to them but our production vehicle codes and laws restrict them from being the mustang you just posted…… If our European vehicle manufacturers had to compete with our E.P.A. and other stringent vehicle codes and law requirements I know you’d be looking at a 400 hp Bugatti instead of 1001 hp. Our pump gas fuels won’t even run these engines anywhere close to this horsepower anyway. So special fuels are necessary just to run these engines in the Bugatti and Koenigsigg. Since I do work on a lot of other people’s private car collections What I’m seeing is a lot of the practical ones use American technology to muscle their cars instead of designing their own engines.
Bizarrini and Marcos, Marcos.com, even Landrover with the Buick 225 V-8 as well as others to name a few used Chevy, Ford or buick V8 engines due to their high horsepower and reliability ratings. Ferrarri, Lamborgini, Bugatti, Koenigsegg and Porsche if driven reasonably only last for around 30,000 miles. This is due to the thin rings and the thin seats cut into the valves and seats, let alone the high valvetrain spring tensions which cause wear. Were as the Corvettes and Mustangs have to meet E.P.A. and other stringent vehicle codes and laws, but last well over 100,000 miles. I know the new Vette only pushes 600 plus hp but it does so under all these laws, and liability laws as well. Build them under European laws and you’re probably looking at 1,500 hp Vettes.

Although there’s a lot of romance for the super cars, it doesn’t pay to have a fuel truck follow you between destinations, because your vehicle doesn’t burn anything less than 105 octane.

Enjoy…….. Chongo
